Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs supervises, enhances and promotes the implementation of Palestine Technical University Kadoorie’s vision and mission by focusing on technical, scientific and technological knowledge system as well as on serving the local community. Due to the tasks entrusted to the Office, it will advocate for excellence in the teaching and learning processes and ensure creativity and excellence in all academic activities.

The Office strives to promote a University culture that encourages and advocates faculty, academic staff, and administrators at all career stages as it is a key backbone at PTUK.

The Office of Academic Affairs:

  •  Is committed to follow-up the academic affairs with the deans, faculties, and departments;
  • Follows-up the academic affairs of the staff including the academic performance, the promotions, and encourage their participation in various scientific activities.
  • Ensures the provision of the appropriate educational and learning environment at the University.
  • Follows-up all the academic affairs and promotes high-quality tasks related to the programs, students, development, research, conferences, scientific seminars, workshops and scientific publications.
  • Holds periodic academic meetings and follows the work of the academic committees and makes sure of applying the implementation of the academic Deans Council resolutions.
  • Follows-up to the development of curricula and study plans for the existing academic programs and the new proposed programs and obtaining their accreditation.
  • Follows-up the assurance of the academic quality.
  • Follows-up the scientific research activities and provision of the appropriate environment to ensure its activation.
  • Activation of the University's relationships with national and international higher educational institutions.
  • Activation of the University's relationships with the local community.
  • Participation in the Deans’ Council, the University’s Council, the Academic Council and the other relevant committees.

 

The Vice President for Academic Affairs assistant helps in following up the various duties especially in the academic development issues.

-         Deanship of Student Affairs. 

-         Deanship of Development Affairs and Community Service

-         Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research
