Kadoorie University Acknowledges Finalists to Nominate Participating Projects in the International Hult Prize

 Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie organized the final stage of the International Hult Prize Competition to select the best three projects out of 13 ones, proposed by the different University Faculties and Departments.

The University President Assistant for Branches’ Affairs, Dr. Tahseen Sayara expressed the University President’s greetings and extended wishes to the selected teams who will be representing the University across the State and in the regional and international countries, stressing the University’s keenness to support the distinguished students and to push them to the stage of innovation and creativity in the local and international competitions.

The Director of Innovation and Education Technology Center, Amjad Almasri explained that the competition will pick the project that employs ten thousand people during the next ten years in sectors like trade, industry and others, adding that PTUK had launched the competition in November of the last year as a direct assignment by the University President, Prof Nouraddin Aburob to open horizons for the students’ startup projects.

The Committee has nominated three projects selected as per the competition’s standards: the first project is a smart phone application that offers job opportunities for the graduate students and the professionals, the second one aims at providing healthy food for the school and university students, and the third project provides a proposal to set up a network for producing, marketing and exporting the Palestinian traditional products with competitive price and high quality.
