The scientific visit delegation from the (3EEE) project team completed its activities in Portugal "Designing practical programs and courses according to the flipped curriculum" funded by the European Union - Erasmus+ program, which is led by the Palestine Technical University Khadoori, and the project manager, Dr. Dr. Nuha Iter explained that the scientific visit, which was carried out at Lisbon Technical University in Portugal, included training events and field visits that serve the topics of the flipped classroom approach and blended learning such as problem-based learning, participatory work-based learning, and a large number of computer applications that help in and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), which are expected to be used by course developers, programming and computer experts who were targeted by this visit, and the Moodle environment for the Palestinian model developed for the flipped classroom (3EEE- FA-PS-MM) was presented. FA-PS-MM, which was installed on the Learning Management System (LMS) in a special track of the 3EEE project on the platform of Palestine Technical University Khadoori, taking into account the Palestinian context, and included (11) courses under development and courses related to building the capacity of the teams developing courses and programs, and the model was discussed and feedback was exchanged.
A day was dedicated to presenting what has been achieved from the courses that are being developed within the flipped classroom approach in three learning environments by the team coordinators, whether in person or online, and this presentation was made after a consultation session among the team members for each course, and exchanging experiences between the different teams, and taking feedback from the experts, and guiding them to enrich the development process and support it with all the knowledge, practical and electronic experiences that were addressed in these events or previous capacity building events, which helped open horizons.
Dr. Iter added that the visit included two administrative meetings, one related to project reports and the second related to the work of the steering committee, a tour of the university campus and a visit to the Center for Creativity in Learning at the University of Lisbon, which can accommodate (400) students at the same hour, and the director of the center indicated that they plan to open it to students 24 hours a day, to enable all students to use it around the clock and in a way that suits their needs.
Dr. Iter pointed out the importance of exchanging experiences on the mechanism of developing courses using the Palestinian model of the flipped classroom approach in three learning environments, which is the first and is an innovative approach for the 3EEE project. It is worth noting that the participants in this second scientific visit in Europe, and the fourth event in the capacity building axis, which came to accumulate the experiences that were addressed in the workshop held online in June of this year, and the scientific visit delegation consisted of representatives of the partners in the project, where the university was represented besides Dr. Noha Atir, project manager, Dr. Rami Al-Dabai, Dr. Rami Al-Dabai, Dr. Rami Al-Dabai, Dr. Rami Al-Dabai, and Dr. Nuha Iter, Dr. Rami Al-Debai, Dr. Jafar Al-Masri and Eng. There were also participating members from all partner universities and the ministry via Zoom technology, as most of the events were held in a blended format.
