Facilities & Research Infrastructure

Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie is committed to providing an integrated research environment that supports interdisciplinary teams across its faculties and specialized centers. The research infrastructure serves as the backbone for effective collaboration, translational discovery, and the generation of internationally recognized research outputs.

1. Applied Research Laboratories (Faculty of Engineering & Technology / Faculty of Applied Sciences)

   Support research in analytical chemistry, materials science, electronics, and manufacturing engineering, bridging Physical Sciences, Engineering, and Computer Science with applied industrial challenges, enabling internationally eligible interdisciplinary outputs.

2. Kadoorie Agricultural Research Center (KARC)

   A dedicated research platform supporting agricultural science, plant biotechnology, soil science, water resource management, and food technology, linking Life Sciences, Engineering, and Physical Sciences to produce translational research addressing Palestinian food security and sustainable agriculture.

3. Faculty of Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence: Computing Infrastructure

   Provides advanced computing resources for AI research, machine learning applications, health informatics, smart systems, and cybersecurity, supporting interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Computer Science, Engineering, and Applied Sciences.

4. Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences: Specialized Laboratories

   Support research in medical laboratory sciences, nutrition science, physiotherapy, and radiology, enabling cross-disciplinary graduate research connecting Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Health Sciences.

5. Standards and Metrology Center

   Provides specialized measurement, calibration, and quality control infrastructure supporting interdisciplinary research in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, and industrial applications.

6. Scientific Databases & Repository Access

   The Deanship of Scientific Research provides access to international scientific databases and maintains the PTUK Institutional Repository (scholar.ptuk.edu.ps), enabling interdisciplinary literature mapping, citation analysis, and performance indicator tracking in line with ISR requirements.

7. IT & Digital Infrastructure

   Provides computational infrastructure across all faculties for AI-assisted research, bioinformatics, digital education research, and data-intensive interdisciplinary projects.

8. International Academic Partnership Network

   Strategic partnerships with Palestinian, Arab, and international institutions coordinated through PTUK's International Relations Office, enabling collaborative interdisciplinary research projects and joint publications.

9. Research Ethics Committee

   Ensures ethical governance of interdisciplinary research across all university faculties and affiliated centers, with oversight from the Deanship of Scientific Research.

10. PTUK Research Journal (rj.ptuk.edu.ps)

    An internationally indexed journal published by the Deanship of Scientific Research providing a dedicated platform for interdisciplinary research dissemination across PTUK's academic domains.
