Research on early years and lifelong learning education
Introduction:
Research on education at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK) plays a central role in strengthening academic quality, advancing pedagogical theory, and improving teaching and learning practices across disciplines. This focus area focuses on generating new knowledge that informs evidence-based decision-making within the Palestinian educational system and contributes to global academic dialogue. PTUK encourages faculty members to conduct research addressing contemporary challenges such as digital learning transformation, inclusive classroom practices, student-centered instruction, assessment methodologies, and lifelong learning development. The University supports this research through grants and awards, open-access publishing, collaborative projects, and participation in national and international conferences.
By promoting rigorous academic inquiry, PTUK enhances the professional capacity of educators, enriches curriculum development, and advances innovation in teaching approaches. Research conducted under this focus area supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by ensuring that educational strategies remain responsive, equitable, and aligned with community needs. Additionally, this focus area strengthens partnerships with the Ministry of Education, NGOs, and international universities, enabling the exchange of knowledge and fostering collaborative development. Through the systematic production and dissemination of educational research, PTUK contributes to improving learning outcomes, reducing educational inequalities, and preparing graduates to adapt to evolving economic and societal contexts.
