Community Education  [7.4.1]

Outreach and training programs for local communities on renewable energy technologies and energy conservation.

The Community Education focuses on sharing knowledge and practical skills related to clean energy with the wider public, extending sustainability impact beyond the campus. Through lectures, open days, workshops, training programs, and interactive exhibitions, universities act as centers of energy awareness and public engagement. This axis supports SDG 7 by enabling accessible and inclusive learning about renewable systems, energy conservation, and climate responsibility. It strengthens SDG 4 through lifelong learning and SDG 13 through public climate literacy. Community education activities often target school students, local technicians, families, public employees, and youth organizations. These initiatives help bridge the gap between academic research and social understanding, empowering communities to adopt solar solutions, reduce household energy consumption, and advocate for sustainable policies. Universities also benefit by building community trust, strengthening their social role, and promoting applied student learning. The Community Education axis reflects an understanding that sustainability is not achieved only through infrastructure and policy, but by enabling people to recognize their role as active participants in meaningful environmental change.
