On their regular visits to Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, the consultancy members of Tulkarem Governorate, headed by Tulkarem Governor Issam Abu Baker, confirmed the necessity to unite all the university’s lands so that it could have the right of possessing an independent educational campus for the State University like other universities in the nation.
Issam Abu Baker, delivering greetings from the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and the Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, stressed on the Palestinian national constants considering Jerusalem as the only capital for Palestine.
He expressed thereby their full rejection and condemnation to the United States’ announcement that recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to the United States’ embassy moving to Jerusalem city, which is a clear breach to all previous signed conventions by the member states regarding Jerusalem controversy.
He also discussed set of issues related to Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie in order to find solutions that would support the education journey, assuring on the need to have a cooperative plan that will give rise to the university’s educational development.
The University President Prof. Marwan Awartani welcomed the members thanking their endeavors taking practical actions to support the university, explaining that the university is doing all due diligence to complete and finalize the ongoing university’s development projects exploring the future ones, which need to be funded and supported.
