Application of sustainability and waste management policies to outsourced services and operations.
PTUK’s sustainability approach extends to outsourced services (cleaning, catering, waste handling, facility maintenance). The objective is to ensure third-party contractors meet environmental and social standards through contract clauses, pre-qualification requirements, and ongoing monitoring. The procurement/purchasing policy and supplier assessment procedures mandate that contractors adhere to the university’s sustainability criteria, including responsible waste handling, reduced use of hazardous materials, and ethical labor practices. The Sustainability Office supports contract teams to incorporate KPIs and reporting requirements in service agreements. Training and onboarding for contractors ensure alignment with campus sustainability routines. Institutionalizing sustainability in outsourced services helps PTUK reduce indirect environmental impacts and move procurement toward SDG12 outcomes.
