Kadoorie Receives Civil Defense for Cooperation in Public Safety

The Acting President of Kadoorie University, Dr. Maan Khatib convened with a delegation from the Civil Defense Department, headed by the General Manager, Lieutenant Al-Abed Ibraheem Khalil to discuss means of mutual cooperation in fields of fire and public safety especially after an engineering program had been started for the academic year 2021 – 2022, which is the first of type program in the middle east.

Dr. Khatib welcomed the delegates praising their pioneering role in organizing multiple training workshops to raise awareness of the students and the local community, and expressing the university's readiness to cooperate with the fire department within the master plan of the Fire and Public Safety program.

The Lieutenant said that the civil defense department will always be open for partners, particularly Kadoorie University, to lead success of quality, pilot programs in terms of practical training as well as oriented guidance to keep the study plan updated based on the need of the civil defense.
