In collaboration with Al Amal Association for the Deaf and Palestinian General Union for People with Disabilities, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie organized a training course for learning deaf sign language to enhance the culture and language of the deaf in the local community and to recognize their development productivity.
The training course aimed to develop the awareness of the public relations and community service staff in official institutions to learn ways of coping with people with hearing disabilities, which will break the silence of the deaf and foster their engagement in the community.
Opening the course session was attended by the Dean of the Development Affairs and Community Service Dr. Emran Elyyan, the Director of Studies Department and Community Development Rashead Ramini, the Director of Al Amal Association, Dr. Waleed Nazal and Palestine TV’s sign translator and expert Thaer Daraghmah.
