Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie has completed its preparations to hold the "Second Graduate Students' Research Conference" at the university, which is scheduled to be organized on campus on October 21 and 22.
The conference aims at promoting scientific research and facilitate the exchange of expertise among researchers and academics in various fields, including public administration, economics, mathematics, agricultural sciences, technical education, and other disciplines.
The University President, Prof. Hussein Shanak, stated that the conference is a part of the university's efforts to strengthen its academic standing both locally and internationally.
He explained, "Scientific conferences offer valuable opportunities to exchange ideas and stay informed on the latest scientific developments, contributing to academic excellence and supporting the path of scientific research in Palestine."
He emphasized that the university aims at providing an interactive platform to discuss current issues and challenges, while proposing innovative scientific solutions that serve and meet the needs of the community.
In his statement, Dean of the Graduate Studies College and the conference's President, Dr. Samer Arqawi, pointed out that organizing this event reflects the faculty's commitment to establishing innovative scientific research principles and fostering an academic environment centered on excellence and creativity.
He further mentioned that this year's conference seeks to achieve several goals, including advancing scientific research and utilizing its tools to achieve sustainable development, highlighting modern developments and trends in applied, administrative, and technical sciences, and building research partnerships with various sectors.
He added that the conference represents an opportunity to enhance the communication, presentation, and scientific event organization skills of graduate students.
The conference program includes an opening session featuring university presidents and renowned scientific figures, followed by discussion sessions on recent developments and challenges in scientific research.
The conference also includes presentations of graduate students' research covering various topics, as well as workshops focused on developing research and presentation skills.
Through these activities, the conference seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and labor market needs, encouraging research that contributes to comprehensive development and improving the scientific landscape in Palestine.
