Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK successfully concluded the scientific visit conducted as part of the 3EEE project: "Designing Practical Programs and Courses Using the Flipped Classroom Approach." The project, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program, is led by PTUK in partnership with several European academic institutions.
Key Highlights of the Visit:
Dr. Nuha Iter, the project manager, explained that the scientific visit was carried out in collaboration with the University of Applied Management Studies UAMS in Germany. The visit featured training sessions and field visits aimed at enhancing the implementation of the flipped classroom approach and integrating artificial intelligence AI applications into higher education. The activities also showcased a model developed by UAMS for planning AI application usage in three distinct learning environments.
Dr. Iter emphasized that the sixth work package WP6 focused on project outputs, including:
• Developing a competency framework.
• Crafting a curriculum map.
• Designing a professional diploma program plan for university professors.
• Establishing mechanisms for accreditation by the Ministry of Higher Education.
In addition, the European partners presented models of AI applications in higher education, featuring contributions from UAMS Germany, the University of Lisbon Portugal, the Polymer Technology College FTPO, Slovenia, and Metropolitan College MC, Greece.
Administrative and Strategic Discussions:
The visit included a management meeting to review achievements, project quality, and progress reports, with an emphasis on the work of the steering committee.

The participating delegation highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise in capacity-building program development for university professors and gaining ministry approval for adopting the flipped classroom approach.

• Palestine Polytechnic University: Dr. Amjad Al-Natsheh, Dr. Rami Arfa, Dr. Louay Shaheen, and Dr. Malek Salehab.
• Al-Quds University: Dr. Rashid Jiyusi, Dr. Israa Hamdan, and Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman.
• Arab American University: Dr. Muath Sobhah, Dr. Musadeq Barahmeh, and Mr. Nizar Shehab.
• UCAS University College of Applied Sciences, Gaza: Dr. Asma Abu Samra and Dr. Ahmed Ghrab.
Additionally, 18 participants joined the activities via Zoom, as most of the activities were conducted in a hybrid format.
