PTUK and CYEE Launch Graduate Training Program

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK and the Economic and Social Empowerment Association CYEE today launched the activities of a comprehensive training program under a special agreement for a pioneering project aimed at supporting and empowering university graduates. The program includes 15 male and female graduates from PTUK who met the admission criteria.

The project represents a pioneering initiative aligned with the needs of PTUK graduates, aiming to strengthen their skills and improve their practical preparedness, thereby enhancing their future employment opportunities.

The launch ceremony was attended by Prof. Hussein Shanak, President of PTUK; Ms. Sahar Othman, Director of the Economic and Social Empowerment Association CYEE; Dr. Moatamed Al-Khatib, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Jaafar Al-Masri, Dean of the College of Engineering; members of the College of Engineering; staff from the Public Relations and Media Directorate; representatives of the implementing company; the strategic partner in Tulkarm Governorate Mr. Yousef Al-Haj Qassem; as well as a number of trainers, project supervisors, and association staff.

In his remarks, Prof. Hussein Shanak stressed the importance of participants making full use of the project’s components and benefits, and building on its outcomes to enhance their professional skills and readiness for the labor market. He emphasized the need for commitment and responsibility throughout the program, in a manner that reflects the university’s mission and values.

For her part, Ms. Sahar Othman highlighted the significance of the partnership with PTUK and commended the role of its academic and administrative staff. She explained that the selection of participants was based on precise and objective professional criteria to ensure quality implementation and the achievement of the project’s goals. She added that the project is expected to open new employment opportunities and build links with relevant institutions and companies as its implementation phases progress.

This project forms part of the university’s ongoing efforts, in partnership with relevant institutions, to enhance practical training and align higher education outcomes with labor market needs, in service of graduates and the local community.
