Diploma of Intelligent systems in buildings

  • About

The Palestinian economy suffers from high prices of conventional energy such as oil and natural gas. Indeed, high fuel prices affect the Palestinian economy to a greater extent, as it is still a developing economy.
The Palestinian Energy Authority imports 100% of the fuel to produce electric power at a high cost of hundreds of millions of dollars annually. Accordingly, the idea came to launch an educational program in the field of smart systems in buildings so that these buildings become environmentally friendly, more economical, and more efficient in energy consumption.
The Diploma in Intelligent Systems in Buildings aims to provide the student with skills in the field of connecting building systems, lighting, air conditioning, alarm, monitoring, and security through smart control systems, in addition to the use of renewable energy.
The Department of Engineering Professions at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie aspires to be a pioneer at the national and regional level in graduating technicians working in the field of diploma specializing in smart systems in buildings by building the capabilities and basic professional skills necessary for experienced and skilled graduates of the program in line with the requirements of the labor market.
The graduate of this program is distinguished by being familiar with the knowledge and skills of installing and operating all conventional electrical, electronic, and mechanical building systems, each independently or in an integrated manner, and the ability to diagnose and maintain physical and software faults.
