• A Bachelor’s degree in a media and communication-related field (e.g., Radio and Television, Media and Television, Media Technology, Television Arts, Journalism and Media, Public Relations).
• A minimum undergraduate GPA of 70%.
• A personal statement outlining the applicant’s interest in the program and career goals.
• A recommendation letter from the applicant's current employer or undergraduate professors if not currently employed.
• A CV highlighting relevant professional and academic experience.
• Successful completion of a personal interview.
To earn the Master’s degree, students must complete 36 credit hours as per the approved curriculum.
Thesis Pathway:
Includes:
- 21 credit hours of required courses.
- 9 credit hours of elective courses as follows:
• If choosing the general program (Media and Communication Sciences) without a specialization, select 9 elective hours from available courses as directed by the program coordinator.
• If specializing in one of the branches, complete required specialization courses and choose 9 elective hours in Political or Educational Media as directed by the program coordinator.
• Thesis (6 credit hours).
Comprehensive Exam Pathway:

- 21 credit hours of required courses.
- 15 credit hours of elective courses as follows:
• If choosing the general program (Media and Communication Sciences) without a specialization, complete 15 elective hours from available courses as directed by the program coordinator.
• If specializing in one of the branches, complete required specialization courses and 15 elective hours in Political or Educational Media as directed by the program coordinator.
• Pass the comprehensive exam successfully.
