The Vice President of Academic Affairs at Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie, Dr. Mu’tamed Al-Khatib received the Algerian international novelist Waciny Laredjin for his first visit to the university, which came as part of his book tour in Palestine.
Dr. Al-Khatib briefed the guest on the university’s historical journey in the service of higher education in Palestine and the Arab region and referred to the hardships that the university faces as a result of the shooting range perching in its campus and the confiscation of the university’s land.
Al-Khatib also stressed the university’s keenness on strengthening its relations with the Palestinian and Arab pioneers and writers to maximize their presence in the collective memory of the students.
For his part, Dr. Wassini talked about his book “Mai… the Nights of Izees Copoia” which was published in September, is an attempt to highlight the injustice inflected upon the Palestinian writer Mai Ziada.
