The President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie Prof Marwan Awartani and the Acting President of An-Najah National University Prof Maher Natshah signed a cooperation memorandum of understanding for an initial period of 5 extendable years to discuss means of Joint Corporation in the fields of education and scientific research.
During their meeting, Prof Awartani welcomed An-Najah delegation commending their university role in developing the academic education and the international representation of the State of Palestine, stressing thereby the importance of strengthening the relationship between the two universities in different joint fields which serve the university education and the Palestinian community.
PTUK President also affirmed the significance of the agreement that came as cooperation enhancement to the agricultural sector development in Palestine, in addition to the establishment of a Korean Techno Park, calling for more corporation between the Palestinian universities.
In this context, Dr. Natsheh thanked the University President Prof Awartani for the creative initiative that is associated essentially with agriculture and information technology, expressing his readiness to cooperate over this corporation for the long – lasting relationship between the two universities and to correlate the joint purpose and message of serving the Palestinian community and to leverage the educational sector.
He called for initiating the implementation of practical steps to enhance cooperation and sign more future cooperative MOUs in academic, research and graduate study fields.
The agreement included cooperation over scientific and research development, joint PhD programs particularly in agricultural studies chosen by the two universities, information interexchange of joint research results, scientific and technical exchange of expertise as well as exchange of knowledge, educational resources, research, and technology associated with the joint programs and projects.
A joint team will lead the technical committee work that is associated with the planning and development of the Techno Park project which is funded by the Korean Government and approved by the Palestinian government in participation of the Palestinian universities and public and private institutions.
