Linking Academic Learning with Labor Market

The Department of Applied Computing at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie organized an event and expo “Programming between Academic Learning and the Labor Market” with a participation of the five most important programming companies in Palestine including Al-Andalus Software Development (ASD), Hoon.ps for Technology and Logistic Services, Isra’ Software and Computer, Asal Technologies and Partners for Sustainable development PSD.
The Head of the Applied Computing department, Dr. Iman Daraghmah stated that the event aimed at easing the mission for the students and save their effort and money by bringing in programming companies to meet the students’ interests and incubate their innovative ideas. “It will add the significant programming languages to their knowledge and acquaint them with the most used technical means in the labor market,” she added.
The event included a virtual exhibition that showed brief introductions about the participated companies, the most favorite techniques and programming products used in the Palestinian market and a dialogue session with the students.
Both Asal Technologies and Isra’ Software and Computer held an employment day in which the interested students were interviewed in case of job opportunities availability in the future.
