Discussing Academic Cooperation with Latin American Group

PTUK President, Prof. Nour Aburob conducted a visit to the Palestinian National School for Administration in Ramallah to meet with the representative of the Latin American Group for General Administration and the representative of the University of Valle, Colombia to discuss possible academic cooperation and exchange of knowledge and culture.
The meeting came as a response to the recommendation by H.E. President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas to promote deep interrelationship with the Latin American States and the Friendly States to the Palestinian people.
Prof. Aburob stressed PTUK’s strategic orientation towards building sustainable partnerships that enhance the University presence in the international forums, leverage the State of Palestine internationally, and open horizons for the academic staff, researchers and students to get engaged in conferences, scientific research and global studies.
The University President also touched upon the challenges hampering the University while presenting educational and research services to the Palestinian people due to the continuous severe incursions of the Israeli occupation on the University campus creating a sense of fear and insecurity.
Occasionally, both sides agreed to sign future joint MOUs between Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie and the University of Valle, Colombia focusing on cultural exchange between the students and academic staff of both institutions as well as implementing scientific and academic programs.
