The Dean of Development and Community Service at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie implemented voluntary works, by the students of the community service course, conducting a visit to AlBalqawi Castle in Shoufah, Tulkarem and Irtah ancient Grape Press.
The voluntary activities, which lasted for two days, included planting trees in the neighborhood, rehabilitation and tidying up the place, explaining details about the ancient and significant history of the Castle, having heritage meals provided by Shoufah Village Council, and cleaning-up work of the Grape Press in Irtah Village.
The Dean of Development and Community Service, Dr. Maan Khatib explained that the purpose of carrying out these activities was to enhance the voluntary culture among the Palestinian youth, raise interest in the marginalized tourism and archaeologicalsites, and promote belonging to the ancient history of Palestine.
