PTUK Ranks First at the Level of Palestinian Universities in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016

A team of students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Palestine Technical University ranked first at the level of Palestine in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016 competition within the citizenship category. The students participated with an innovative research project under the title "Virtual brain vision”.
Mohammed Saffarini- one of the students who participated in the development of the project’s idea- emphasized that the project is characterized with high quality and the possibility of being applied globally. He also referred to the project’s working mechanism which is designed for the visually impaired who would be able of full visibility through the transfer of images in the form of electrical signals to the tongue.
The winning project will enable students to participate in the next phase of the Imagine Cup competition at the level of the Arab world, which will be held at the end of May in Egypt.
