PTUK Organizes its Eighty First Graduation Ceremony Resistant Education Cohort


Under the patronage of His Excellency- the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas "Abu Mazen-, Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie organized the eighty first graduation ceremony under the name “Resistant Education”.
The University celebrated the graduation of 1500 students Bachelor students from the colleges of Engineering, Arts and Sciences, Economics and Agricultural Sciences, the community college of Palestine, and the educational qualification program.
Prime Minister: maintaining the national project by ensuring the quality of education
"In front of all forms of demolition, destruction and death, we celebrate today a national day , we celebrate stories of success and excellence and the spirit of steadfastness and challenge that we see clearly in the confidence and pride in our graduates " said the prime minister- prof. Rami Al-Hamdallah.
Dr. Saidam: Grants the University an Academic Seat for Scientific Research
For his part, the minister Saidam expressed his delight in participating in the graduation of Palestine Technical University -Kadoorie and added that “in support of scientific research, it’s our pleasure to offer an academic seat for scientific research under the name of Dr. Ali Nayfeh; this seat will be granted to researchers in various domains.”
Inspiring model for Resistant Education
In his speech, the University’s president- Prof. Marwan Awartani explained that calling the cohort “Resistant Education” has come from the legendary steadfastness of the students and staff alongside with their resistance against the continuous Israeli forces incursions.
Prof. Awartani also pointed to the university’s achievements at the levels of both staff and constructions. At the level of staff, Dr. Awartani pointed the overall increase in the number of employees holding doctorates. “The university is still proceeding with its ambitious program of sending young staff to pursue their higher education in prestigious universities, in addition to attracting talents by bridging the gap between the university employees' salaries and their counterparts in public universities” he added. At the level of constructions, on the other hand, prof. Marwan pointed to the ongoing projects in various colleges.
The Speech of the valedictorian
On behalf of the graduates, the valedictorian Shahed Harazallah expressed her delight and gratitude for the administrative and academic bodies for their support throughout the university life.
