Kadoorie University Hosts Community Journalism Training Session

Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie hosted a training session held by the Media Development Center at Birzeit University to develop the skills of 18 participants. The participants ranged from graduate journalists to media students and fresh graduates under the supervision of Palestinian journalist Abdul Rahman Othman.
In turn, the coordinator of the media center at Birzeit University- Abeer Ismail stressed the primary focus of this course which is to train young journalists in the field of community journalism and writing journalistic reports that address communal issues.
Ismail added that the session came within the national plan for the development of Beirzeit’s media center in partnership with more than 80 national partners in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
In conclusion, Ismail explained that choosing Kadoorie to hold the first session had a positive impact as it provided the right environment and the possibilities that made the training a success.
