The President of Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, Prof. Marwan Awartani met a delegation from the World Bank in the presence of the President’s Assistant, Dr. Derar Eleyyan, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and the director of the Center of Entrepreneurship in Computerized Sciences, Dr. Nafea Assaf.
The delegation consisted of the Director of the education sector in the Middle East and North Africa at the World Bank Safa Alkocali, the Education Specialist at the World Bank Juan Manuel Moreno, the coordinator of World Bank projects Samira Hillis and the unit manager of the World Bank projects in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Suha Al-Khalili.
The visiting delegation was escorted on a tour around campus and briefed them on the vision and objectives of the Centre, the courses and programs it offers to enhance the students' knowledge in accounting science, stressing the importance of partnership and cooperation between Kadoorie and the World Bank.
In this context, Prof. Awartani expressed his gratitude for the World Bank’s efforts in supporting the University through financing the center’s project calling on the bank to provide more help and support to Kadoorie.
For her part, Alkocali emphasized the World Bank’s full support of educational projects in the area.
