Kadoorie University Discusses Means of future Cooperation with the Canadian Representative in Palestine

The rector of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie- Prof. Marwan Awartani convened with the Canadian Representative to Palestine- H.E. Douglas Proudfoot to discuss means of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, Prof. Awartani stressed the importance of activating cooperation and academic exchanges with Canadian universities and explained that Kadoorie has networked with many European universities through Tempus, Erasmus and other programs.
On the other hand, the Canadian ambassador referred to the historic status of the university as one of the first agricultural institutions in the Middle East noting that he is willing to discuss cooperation prospects between technical Canadian universities and Palestinian universities including Kadoorie.
Parallel to the meeting, the representative took a tour around the campus and paid tribute to the memorial monument of the First World War martyrs.
