PTUK Celebrates Kick-Off the 3EEE Erasmus+ Project

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie launched the 3EEE project, “Flipped Practical Courses Via Triple Learning Environments by Triple Experts through Triple Enhance Programs,” which is funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
The launching ceremony took place at the Red Crescent Hall in Ramallah introducing all the higher education institutions and the employers about the project’s overview, goals, and the positive outputs for all the Palestinian institutions.
The 3EEE project aims at empowering the students with the required skills for the labor market to maximize the employment opportunities, enabling the academic staff and programmers to skillfully design teaching systemically based on flipped approach, drafting an educational content conforming to three learning methodologies, and strengthening the partnership between the university and the labor market in terms of students’ evaluation.
The project was launched in participation of the Acting President of Kadoorie University, Prof. Hussein Shanak, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and International Research, Dr. Basri Saleh, the Director of the National Office of Erasmus+ Dr. Abdulkarim Daraghmeh, the European Union Representative in Jerusalem Mr. Jacob Artes, the General Coordinator of the Project Dr. Nuha Iter, and representatives of the partner universities from Palestine: Al-Quds University, Polytechnic University, Arab American University, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and from Europe the University of Lisbon in Portugal, the University of Applied Management Studies in Germany, the University of Metropolitan in Greece, and the University of Polymer Technology in Slovenia.
Prof. Shanak welcomed all attendees and partners and stressed the importance of this project in building scientific and research partnerships by focusing on the basics of many fields of higher education and technical and vocational training.
In turn, Dr. Saleh, representing the Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Mahmoud Abu Moues, thanked the European Union and the Erasmus+ program for their support to upgrade the higher education sector, and Kadoorie University and other partners for these efforts.
The Undersecretary stressed the project significance seeking to expand the base of learning through innovative methods away from the traditional and outdated ones, indicating the ministry's focus on promoting integrated education that combines theoretical education with practice during the study period.
About the 3EEE project, Jacob Arts congratulated Kadoorie University and the partners for winning the only project in Palestine, signifying the idea that would design and implement practical courses according to the reverse curriculum, considering this approach a strong tie for the real partnership between teachers and learners via meetings and workshops.
