Kadoorie Honors Students of Exchange Programs

Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, in partnership with the Student Union Council, organized an event to honor students participating in student exchange programs at various Arab and international universities.

The ceremony was attended by the Acting President of the University, Prof. Hussein Shanak, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Samir Al-Zuhaire, Board of Trustees member Dr. Yazid Al-Haj Qasim, the Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs and the Coordinator of Student Exchange Programs, Dr. Mu'tamad Al-Khatib, the Vice President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Shweikha, as well as university staff and students.

Prof. Hussein Shanak commended the students for their achievements and contributions during their participation in student exchange programs. He highlighted the positive image they portrayed of the university wherever they went, serving as excellent ambassadors for the institution.

Dr. Shanak also emphasized the university's view of student exchange as a pivotal element contributing to Kadoorie's global ranking and providing students with exposure to diverse experiences and cultures, enhancing their communication skills and opening new academic, research, and professional horizons.

Dr. Mu'tamad Al-Khatib affirmed that the University's students were outstanding ambassadors, leaving a positive mark wherever they participated in exchange programs, explaining that the selection process considered academic, professional, and objective criteria in line with the requirements of host universities, especially regarding language proficiency, communication skills, and academic achievements.

Dr. Al-Khatib pointed out the university's qualitative and quantitative leap in exchange programs, resulting in many students receiving scholarships for further studies. He encouraged students to draw inspiration from their peers, compete for available opportunities, and join these programs to broaden their horizons and experiences.

Representing the Student Council and the Youth Movement, Ali Abu Khalil expressed the invaluable opportunity student exchange programs provide for discovering new cultures and developing both academic and personal skills. He emphasized that the programs facilitate cultural interaction and mutual understanding between nations and universities.

During the event, student Yara Hatem delivered a speech on behalf of the participating students, expressing gratitude to Kadoorie University for its significant efforts in overseeing this initiative. She described the experience as an eye-opening opportunity that broadened their horizons, enriched their knowledge with diversity and development, and allowed them to build bridges of understanding and appreciation.
