PTUK Opens ICT Capacity Enhancement Lab for Early Childhood Teachers

The University President, Prof. Hussein Shanak inaugurated today the ICT Capacity Enhancement Lab for Early Childhood Teachers at Kadoorie main campus in Tulkarem which is part of the “ICT4EDU” project funded by the European Union and is affiliated under the supervision of the Information Technology College at Kadoorie University for the higher education institutions in the MENA region.

The project manager, Dr. Mahmoud Jazzar said that the Project is aimed at developing new educational curricula using technological tools and practices, at enhancing the teachers’ skills throughout extensive workshops.

He indicated that the ICT4EDU lab will be a meeting point to improve early Childhood Teachers’ ICT capacities in 9 higher education institutions from Jordan, Palestine, and Egypt.

The lab is equipped with the latest modernized PCs set for educational purposes, interactive board, as well as creating and editing video applications to promote the educational process using visualized multimedia to create interactive and attractive educational resources.
