Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, represented by Dr. Osama Khodroj, Head of the Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology Department at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, participated in a global symposium on artificial intelligence AI in medicine.
The event was part of a scientific collaboration initiative with the Neuroscience Institute at Kunming Medical University in China. Dr. Khodroj delivered a specialized lecture on the use of AI in diagnosing laryngeal tumors, attended by professors, researchers from Palestinian universities, and a large audience of students and researchers from various medical fields.
Dr. Khodroj explained that the symposium addressed diverse medical topics, including neuroscience, microbiology, medical imaging, medical nanotechnology, oncology, genetics, and bioinformatics.
He emphasized the importance of such collaborations in fostering scientific and knowledge exchange between Palestinian and international universities. He praised the significant role of initiatives like this in advancing academic and research fields and expressed the university's aspiration for further fruitful cooperation with Kunming Medical University in the future.
