Two PTUK Students Win First and Second Place in the Olive Tree Contest

Students Noor Ahmed Ghiyatha and Jana Raed Shubeita from Palestine Technical University - Khadoorie secured first and second place, respectively, in the Olive Tree Competition, titled "Call of the Earth and Tree of the Sky." The event was organized by the Environmental Education Center of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

According to the competition results, Noor Ahmed Ghiyatha from the Al-Aroub branch earned first place, while Jana Raed Shubeita from the Tulkarem branch achieved second place.

In this context, Dr. Yahya Sateetah, Dean of Student Affairs, expressed his pride in the two students, emphasizing the university's commitment to supporting its students' participation in extracurricular events and competitions that foster social and national awareness while enhancing their skills. He also commended the efforts of the Department of Design and Applied Arts for guiding and supporting students towards excellence and creativity.

Dr. Sateetah highlighted that this competition, part of the annual activities program organized by the Activities Committee in partnership with the Environmental Education Center, aims to deepen students' connection with the olive tree as a national and cultural symbol, encouraging artistic expression of its significance and value.

The competition included participation from several Palestinian universities, including An-Najah National University, the Arab American University, Bethlehem University, Palestine Ahliya University, Palestine Polytechnic University, Birzeit University, and Al-Quds Open University.
