Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie recently hosted a training course for 52 students from different faculties who are in their first year of study. The course was conducted as part of a joint program with the "Youth and Employment in Palestine" initiative supported by the United Nations Development Program UNDP.
This initiative aims to prepare students to participate in competitive debates within the university. The goal is to enhance their skills to compete in inter-university debates at the national level, with the ultimate objective of selecting the best team to represent the university in the finals against other universities.
The training sessions took place at Al-Khalil Palace in Jericho and were led by the university’s president, Dr. Hassan Nasir. The sessions were designed to enhance the participating students' debate, discussion, and dialogue skills, emphasizing the importance of such activities in fostering critical thinking and personal development.
Dr. Nasir highlighted the significance of these programs in strengthening students' skills and commended the high level of engagement and enthusiasm displayed by the participants. He emphasized that such initiatives contribute significantly to students' personal growth and academic experiences.
During his visit to the training site, Dr. Nasir, accompanied by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yahya Taytasa, and representatives from the Student Council and participating students, affirmed the university’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower students and enrich their university journey.
