Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK inaugurated its new academic year with a campus tour led by University President Prof. Hussein Shanak, who visited several university facilities, classrooms, and laboratories as more than 12,700 students resumed their studies across the main Tulkarm campus and the branches in Ramallah and Al-‘Aroub.
Prof. Shanak was accompanied by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mu’tamad Al-Khatib, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Prof. Rizq Isteiteyeh, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Alaa Issa, Head of the Public Relations and Media Unit Mr. Azmi Saleh, and Student Environmental Movement Coordinator Mr. Yazan Faqha.
On this occasion, Prof. Shanak addressed the students with a welcoming message, affirming that the university places its students at the core of its priorities through the development of academic programs and curricula, redesigning certain tracks to be more integrative and applied, and building partnerships with the private sector to strengthen graduates’ career opportunities. He also highlighted PTUK’s commitment to providing a supportive academic environment enriched with advanced technologies and modern laboratories.
Prof. Shanak praised the dedication of the academic and administrative staff, who work together to foster a nurturing environment for creativity, research, and development. He urged students to engage fully in university life and activities, stressing the importance of not limiting themselves to academic achievement but also working on personal growth, skills development, and creativity.
He concluded by affirming that Palestine remains PTUK’s guiding compass, and that every scientific or innovative effort ultimately serves the nation. Prof. Shanak emphasized PTUK’s role as the “University of the State and of all Palestinians,” carrying a legacy of academic excellence and a national mission, with students capable of representing the university proudly at both national and international levels.
