PTUK Wins 1st and 3rd Places at the 26th Arab Creative Student Forum

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK achieved a remarkable Arab-level success, earning first and third place in the artistic and literary creativity track of the 26th Arab Creative Student Forum, held under the theme “Opportunities and Challenges Facing Educational Institutions Amid Technological Developments.”

The forum took place at University of Nizwa in Oman, with participation from students representing various Arab universities.

PTUK students integrated artificial intelligence technologies into projects aimed at preserving Palestinian heritage and identity. The university won first place for the project “Interactive Visual Narration as a Medium to Revive Palestinian Literature and Symbolism,” prepared by students Haya Al-Sharha, Raghad Al-Qawasmeh, Sawsan Al-Taiti, and Malak Abu Harb from the Bachelor of Applied Arts program, supervised by Dr. Asmaa Al-Abed, and presented by Haya Al-Sharha at the forum.

The third-place award went to the project “Historic Building Information Modeling HBIM as a Tool to Resist Cultural Genocide: The Role of Digital Restoration in Preserving Palestinian Architectural Heritage – The Case of Sarah Hanoun School,” prepared by Raneem Draydi and Nada Bahti from the Bachelor of Architecture program, supervised by Eng. Amani Ibrahim, and presented by Raneem Draydi.

PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak congratulated the winning students and the university community, stating that this achievement crowns the university’s continuous efforts to foster creativity and excellence, and reflects PTUK’s vision of innovation, leadership, and community service.

He emphasized that PTUK’s participation in Arab academic forums holds special significance, as it promotes exchange of experiences and reinforces the university’s active presence in the Arab academic landscape. Prof. Shanak reaffirmed PTUK’s commitment to leveraging technological advancements to enhance education and scientific research in Palestine.
