Media Technology Holds Seminar on Right to Access Information

The Media Technology Department at Kadoorie University organized yesterday a seminar to touch upon the rights of the individuals to access information, which the department head, Dr. Alaa Ayash introduced a presentation thereabout.
The seminar was a complementary series of what An-Najah University and OsloMet University began in previous days.
Dr. Ayash discussed the concept of the right for information access and its interrelation with the freedom of expression and press as well as the regulating laws in this regard in Palestine and worldwide.
He particularly referred in his presentation to the “article 19 about the human rights and freedom of expression” and the restrictions placed on such right, stressing the media students’ understanding of their rights and duties, the media ethics and regulations.
