PTUK Lays the Foundations for the Installation of Solar Energy system

Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie started laying the foundations for the installation of the alternative solar energy system to generate electricity within the university’s vision to adopt the pilot projects and environmentally-friendly energy producing resources.
In this context, the Dean of Planning and Development, Dr. Khalid Shadeed explained that the project will be financed by the university in order to accommodate for its electricity needs and to avoid the frequent current interruptions in Tulkarem city, adding that the university has already began the implantation of the first phase of the project which includes equipping the roofs of five buildings with about 1500 solar panels to generate 485 kWh.
