PTUK Organizes Third Palestinian Concrete Day

In cooperation with Palestinian Concrete Society PCS, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie organized a workshop under the title “Palestine Concrete Day” in purpose of raising the students’ awareness of the concrete building material to be more safe and reliable as well as highlighting the challenges facing concrete development in Palestine.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of Engineering and Technology College Dr. Makram Abbas, the Chairman of the Palestinian Concrete Society, Mahmoud Shakarna, a number of concrete specialists and construction companies.
Dr. Makram explained that this event came within the university’s vision in supporting scientific activities in order to create cooperation with the local community in general and to strengthen professional relations with the private sector providing an interactive environment for the University students in all fields.
For his Part, Shakarna stressed his Association’s keenness in raising the students’ knowledge in building materials expressing his intention to cooperate with the universityin order to develop this important sector.
