Al-Aroub Organizes Workshop on Status of Technical Education in Palestinian Universities

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, represented by its President Prof Marwan Awartani and Al-Aroub Director Dr. Muheeb Abu Lawha, held a workshop in Al-Aroub branch in Hebron highlighting the status of technical education in the Palestinian universities. The workshop included a set of scientific papers discussing the future challenges in this regard.
In his opening speech, Dr. Abu lawha stressed the key role of researchers and their perspectives in developing the technical university education and the strategic role of the Palestinian universities in raising the level of education in Palestine, which will give rise to creating well-qualified and productive candidates ready to meet the labor market needs.
Among the exciting proposed research papers, Dr. Murad Awadallah, on behalf of Palestine Technical University, presented an inclusive study about the evaluation and quality standards of the technical learning in universities in general showing the most critical standards applied locally and internationally.
At the end of the workshop, the participants delivered different recommendations considering the educational outcomes should go in parallel between the secondary and the university education in the first place as well as developing the regulations and policies regarding the technical learning in Palestine.
