The President of Palestine Technical University-Kadoorie, Prof. Marwan Awartani signed a memorandum of understanding with His Excellency Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, Azzam Al-Shawa.
The MOUaimed to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the fields of research and to raise the students’ understanding in the financial and banking policies.
In this context, Prof. Awartani stressed the importance of signing such a memorandum as it will have a remarkable impact on the development of the students’ capabilities particularly in the faculty of Business Administration and Economy since it goes beyond simple partnerships to the level of full integration, exchange and dissemination of experiences.
Prof. Awartani also added that under the terms of this agreement, the university would be implementing a bilateral education program in partnership with the World Bank and the Monetary Authority, as well as implementing a training program that goes beyond the scope of observation to the level of active involvement in the labor market.
For his part, Al-Shawa praised Kadoorie’s historical role in serving the educational process in Palestine and pointed out that the Monetary Authority is prepared to invest in Kadoorie’s full potentials and to harness its various partnerships in strengthening its ties with Kadoorie.
