The Minster of Higher Education Heads PTUK’s Deans Council

The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Sabri Saidam headed the Deans Council at Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie which was held in the presence of the university president- Prof. Marwan Awartani, Vice-Presidents, assistants and deans of branches in Ramallah and Al-Arroub.
The convened parties addressed the status quo of the university, its developmental plans and the challenges that the university faces as a result of the Israeli occupation and its consistent incursions on the university’s campus.
In this context, the Minister stressed the efforts that the Ministry exerts to upgrade higher educational institutions and the steps taken by the Ministry to promote governmental higher education. Saidam also tackled the topics of the new Higher Education bill and the e-Learning Initiative.
In turn, Prof. Awartani highlighted the university's achievements at the national, regional and international levels and its goal of improving the reality of the educational sector. He also added that the university has followed the directives of the Ministry of Education and worked to complete the merger of colleges in a way that would ensure a qualitative leap in education, especially vocational and technical education.
