Sixth Palestinian Conference on Modern Trends in Physics and Mathematics: Organizing Committee Holds its Second Meeting

The Organizing Committee for the Sixth Palestinian Conference on Modern Trends in Mathematics and Physics, held its second meeting at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie in Ramallah branch headed by the University President Prof. Marwan Awartani and in presence of the Committee members comprised from all national universities, to discuss the agenda and any further details of the conference.
The members discussed means of setting up database and collection contactinginternational and Palestinian faculty members and researchers who are interested in the subjects of mathematics, statistics and physics as well as the conference arrangements and management.
The meeting emphasized the necessity of participation of all specialists in the conference, activating the role of media across the countryand establishing an Athletes and Physicists Association or a Mathematical and Physics Research Center through Palestine Academy for Science and Technology.
A committee has been established comprising of Dr. Henry Gugman, Dr. Mohammed Saleh, Dr. Moayed Abu Saa’, Dr. Amjad Barham, and Dr. Yousef Zahaiqa to conduct a conclusion and to deliver an award or more for the best master degree in mathematics and physics during the last two years: 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.
The organizing committee also discussed ways of honoring the best researchers in the fields of mathematics, physics and statistics and the possibility of cooperation with the Lebanese Research Center for Mathematics at the American University of Beirut and other issues related to the Mathematical Olympiad and to honoring retirees.
