Kadoorie Incubates Mental Calculation National Contest

With a participation of 230 children, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie hosted the events of the national competition of mental calculation to choose the representative of Palestine who will be competing at an Arab Countries’ level that will be hosted in Jordan during this month - April, 2018.
The competition was organized by VIP Center for Training and Human Development and under the auspices of his Excellency the Minister of Education Dr. Sabri Saidam in presence of PTUK President Representative Ahmad Ammar, the Director of Tulkarem Directorate of Education Salam Al Taher and other representatives from official institutions.
The University President Assistant for Public and Community Relations Ahmad Ammar thanked the competition organizers for their important role developing the children’s understanding of using mathematics in their real lives, stressing the university’s readiness to raise the quality of teaching mathematics in the public and university education.
For his turn, the Chairman of VIP Center Board of Trustees Dr. Tahseen Odeh pointed out that the center looks forward to establishing a mental intelligence approach to be applied in all schools in a systematic method, commending the role of the Ministry of Education for the inclusion of mental intelligence program in the schools.
At the end of the competition, a ceremony included a number of artistic and scientific paragraphs presented by students from Tulkarem Directorate of education and the children affiliated to Alkhwarizmi program, in addition to honoring the winners and the organizers of the competition.
