    PTUK Participates in “Palestine Through the Artist’s Brush” Exhibition in Ankara

    Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK), represented by its Faculty of Design and Applied Arts, participated in the art exhibition “Palestine Through the Artist’s Brush,” hosted by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) in Ankara, Turkey, over the course of three days.

    The university’s participation featured a collection of artworks created by students of the faculty, reflecting Palestinian reality and national identity. The exhibition included 65 pieces, ranging from paintings and graphic designs to various forms of visual and plastic arts.

    President of YTB, Abdulhadi Turus, emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with oppressed people and defending their rights, highlighting art as a powerful medium for expressing such causes. He also reaffirmed continued support for Palestinian students through various initiatives.

    For his part, exhibition supervisor from PTUK, Dr. Khaled Isteitiya, expressed gratitude to the Turkish government and the exhibition organizers for hosting the event and providing a platform for PTUK students to convey their voice and national cause through art. He noted that art serves as a universal language capable of expressing the emotions of peoples, and that the showcased works reflect students’ deep connection to their land and identity.

    Dr. Isteitiya added that organizing the exhibition aligns with the university’s policy of international engagement and strengthening collaboration with educational and cultural institutions. He praised the university’s support and commended the students’ creative efforts, noting that the exhibition represents a starting point for further future cooperation between the hosting body and the university.

    The exhibition opening was attended by Hasan Turan, Secretary of the Administrative Board of the Turkish Parliament and Head of the Turkish–Palestinian Parliamentary Friendship Group; Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, former Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services; along with Abdulhadi Turus. Representing PTUK were Dr. Khaled Isteitiya, graphic arts supervisor Dr. Moataz Qanabita, visual arts supervisor Ahmad Kamel, and a number of guests.
