    PTUK Participates in Specialized Physical Education Forum

    Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK) participated in the forum “Knowledge Extraction in Specialized Physical Education: Palestinian Sports Expertise for a Global Vision,” organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education in partnership with the French Federation of World Sport, with broad participation from academic and educational institutions.

    The university was represented by a distinguished group of academic staff, including Dr. Moatasem Abu Alia and Dr. Ghaith Naseef from the main campus, and Dr. Haifa Jamhour from the Ramallah Women’s Campus, reflecting PTUK’s leading role in advancing physical education toward qualitative and global standards.

    In this context, Prof. Jamal Abu Bashara, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, emphasized that PTUK’s participation aligns with the university’s vision to enhance the quality of sports education and improve its outcomes. He highlighted that openness to international experiences and knowledge exchange contributes to building an advanced Palestinian model in specialized physical education. He added that the university continues to align its academic programs with the latest global practices to strengthen students’ capabilities and prepare them for meaningful contributions to society.

    The forum was attended by Sadeq Al-Khodour, Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs; Anne Dahdah, Director of the French Federation Office in Palestine; Dr. Suhair Al-Qasem, Director General of Supervision; Mohammad Salem, Director General of Student Activities; and Ayman Al-Hodali, Head of Guidance and Student Affairs Unit, in addition to representatives from local universities and physical education supervisors and teachers.

    In his remarks, Sadeq Al-Khodour stressed the importance of sports education in building students’ capacities in schools and universities, particularly in light of the challenges facing the educational sector. He underscored the need to adopt and institutionalize a specialized physical education framework, praising the partnership with the French Federation in advancing this approach.

    For her part, Anne Dahdah outlined the program’s implementation mechanisms, emphasizing the importance of knowledge transfer and experience exchange, and highlighting the message of solidarity carried by the French people toward the Palestinian people.

    The forum featured specialized discussion sessions and focus groups addressing key issues in specialized sports education, while Dr. Suhair Al-Qasem presented on the impact of this approach in enhancing the education system and improving its outcomes.
