Interior Design and Applied Arts Departments at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, in cooperation with Takween Computer Consulting, organized a training workshop titled "The Horizon of Smart Creativity." The workshop was held as part of the University's ongoing efforts to enhance digital literacy and keep pace with emerging technological developments, attracting broad participation from students and lecturers interested in design, creativity, and artificial intelligence.
The workshop aligns with Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie's vision of fostering creativity and innovation while promoting the integration of modern technologies and artificial intelligence into education and scientific research. These efforts contribute to preparing students who are capable of meeting labor market demands and adapting to rapid developments across various academic and professional fields.
The sessions explored the importance of employing artificial intelligence technologies in the fields of interior design and applied arts, highlighting their role in generating creative ideas, accelerating design processes, and producing innovative and contemporary designs. The workshop also emphasized the growing significance of artificial intelligence in supporting scientific research and advancing modern research tools and methodologies.
For her part, Dr. Reema Daraghmeh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, stressed the importance of continuing to organize scientific and training activities that promote a culture of innovation and digital transformation. She highlighted the value of integrating artificial intelligence tools into educational, creative, and research practices, given their impact on developing students' skills and enhancing their academic and professional competencies.
Meanwhile, Mr. Osama Khdeir, the workshop coordinator and Head of the Department of Interior Design and Design and Applied Arts, explained that organizing the workshop reflects the department's and the University's commitment to creating an interactive learning environment that keeps pace with contemporary developments. He noted that such initiatives provide students with opportunities to explore the latest technologies used in design, applied arts, and scientific research.
The workshop witnessed notable engagement and enthusiasm from both students and lecturers, generating a range of discussions and ideas regarding the future of artificial intelligence in creative and research fields, as well as ways to leverage these technologies to enhance academic and professional skills.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Department of Interior Design and Design and Applied Arts extended its appreciation to Takween Computer Consulting, represented by Eng. Jamal Dares, in recognition of his outstanding efforts and valuable contributions, which enriched the workshop and helped achieve its intended outcomes for participants.
