    Climate change is of global concern at the local regional and global levels politically economically and environmentally. The sciences of meteorology and climate change are closely related to the future of next generations sustainability the daily lives of citizens property and lives. In addition it overlaps with several vital scientific fields for Palestinian society such as economic agricultural and water security.
    The Bachelor’s Program in Meteorology as one of the programs of the College of Agricultural Science and Technology at Palestine Technical University “Kadoorie” is an applied scientific program that aims to transfer knowledge and skills in wide areas of meteorological applications and climate change. In addition to preparing graduates capable of conducting research and providing them with high-level skills in the use of technology computers statistics and field work as one of the most important conditions for creating researchers who are able to continue self-learning and development in diverse workplaces.

  • Objectives and Outcomes

    • Filling a real gap suffered by the educational sector and the labor market in Palestine regarding the lack of an academic program that grants a bachelor’s degree in meteorology and climate change.
    • Serving the local community by preparing a national cadre specialized in the field of meteorology and climate changes distinguished by scientific research and applied competence which is lacking in many ministries and institutions in the country concerned with the field of environment and climate.
    • Contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and awareness in society of the issue of climate change in Palestine and its effects on the various agricultural water economic environmental and health sectors.
    • Establishing partnerships with colleges and research centers at the local regional and international levels.
    • Enhancing and coordinating cooperation and efforts between government institutions concerned with the issue of climate change and the academic sector in order to confront climate change and its effects on Palestine.
    • Adopting the accurate scientific method in exporting weather forecasts to the public.
    • Contribute to various scientific research.
    • Integrating students into the labor market to be able to work and develop in their future jobs through practical field and theoretical training in state institutions and ministries.
    • Providing great opportunities to attract global attention scientific conferences symposiums workshops and research funding to invest in the field of climate change and its effects on Palestine as well as investing the resources available inside and outside the university for the purpose of scientific research and developing the capabilities of researchers.
