COC of Fashion Design Starts Implementing Projects for Community Service

The Center of Competence for Fashion Design and the Manufacturer of Wearing Apparel at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie has initiated a project to design and manufacture work uniforms for the students and technicians of the Youth Rehabilitation Center at the Directorate of Social Development in Tulkarem.
The project was guided by the University President Prof Nour Abu Rub delivering the University’s message to enhance partnership with the local societal institutions and to promote voluntary values and community service among the students and the University staff.
The Director of the Center, Samer Sa’bi explained that the center seeks to implement such small projects to bridge cooperation with the different institutions in the country and to engage the students in the voluntary work giving rise to leveraging the citizenship values among them.
“The center offers excellent technical training in fashion design and clothes manufacturing for the center’s students using the latest modern technologies of sewing and designing; a matter of fact that serves technical and vocational learning as well as fills the labor market’s gap with qualified professionals,” Sabi added.
