Launching the Longest Reading Streak in Tulkarem within the Activities of the National Reading Week


ThePreparatory Committee for the national reading week launched the longest reading streak in Tulkarem.
In her welcoming speech, Mrs. Renad Alqubj- director general of Tamer Institute for Community Education- said that” the campaign’s motto for this year was titled "we crave life" that aims at promoting reading, developing children’s creative and contemplative capacities, and promoting reading amongst Palestinian children.”
For his part, Dr. Jaafar Abu Saa( the dean’s assistant of student affairs at the Palestine Technical University- kadoorie) stressed the university’s support for the important role that reading plays in strengthening the Palestinian national culture, and creating a knowledgeable generation that is capable of building his future.
In order to make reading interesting, children were involved with activities such as the reading angle where each child drew a tree and garnished it with the names of the stories and books in addition to several other activities.
