British Consul Visits PTUK and Discusses Cooperation

The Acting President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, Prof. Husein Shanak received today the British Consul General Ms. Diane Corner to introduce her about the university’s programs, project, and future plans and discuss means of cooperation through partnerships with the British universities.
Prof. Shanak welcomed the Consul and the accompanied delegation stressing the significance of the visit to the university as part of its vision to strengthen partnership and cooperation with international institutions.
The acting president expressed readiness to cooperate in exchange students and academic programs by signing partnerships with British universities and higher education institutions, and mutually develop language training programs through the Language Center.
Ms. Corner praised the university's history and presence despite the challenges facing the Palestinian community while obtaining their right to education, mobility and participation in international counterparts.
The British Consul made clear that they will provide the necessary support to the university through educational programs and scholarships from the British Council and Chevening program.
“I learned a lot about Tulkarem and enjoyed the beautiful side and generosity of Tulkarem citizens especially during my tour around the Palestinian Village Festival in Kadoorie University,” Ms. Corners said.
