Kadoorie University’s Acting President, Prof. Husein Shanak convened with a delegation from the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, headed by the office director in Jerusalem Juana Barret.
Prof. Shanak welcomed the guest delegation, giving an overview of the university's history, indicating that the university focuses on providing high-quality higher education, especially in agricultural disciplines based on its long history in agricultural education, as well as in technical disciplines being a leading technical university in Palestine.
Dr. Shanak introduced the delegates about the challenges that face the academic life at the university campus due the continuous incursions by the Israeli occupation, stressing that the university is always keen to maintain the educational process as safe as possible which is an unarguable right for the students and a resistant model of education.
