Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie PTUK conducted several virtual meetings with international universities and academics to explore joint cooperation across various fields. These meetings were led by the University's Assistant President for International Academic Cooperation, Prof. Rana Samara.
Prof. Samara highlighted that these meetings align with Kadoorie University's policy of academic openness, expertise exchange, and addressing the challenges facing higher education in Palestine, especially at PTUK. She held discussions with universities in the UK, Turkey, Canada, and Italy.
In a meeting with Dr. Minza Qattu from the University of Cambridge, they discussed the impact of Israeli aggression on PTUK and agreed to document these incidents for the Maxwell Centre for Global Challenges at Cambridge.
Prof. Samara met with Prof. Youssef Monplaisir from the University of Quebec to discuss joint supervision, student exchange programs, and scholarships in composite materials and microfibers.
She also engaged with Prof. Ismail Al-Halawi from the Polytechnic University of Montreal to explore doctoral scholarships, joint supervision of master’s students, and short-term research visits.
Further, Prof. Samara held discussions with the International Relations Team at Istanbul Aydın University about academic cooperation, student exchange, and joint projects like Erasmus and Delight programs, following an agreement between the two universities.
Lastly, she met with Prof. Halim Abu Tayeb from the University of Quebec to discuss virtual courses and scholarships in electromagnetics and radio frequencies for PTUK students.
